Cov Kozaks

Performing on the Main Stage on Sunday 2 July

Cov Kozaks are Coventry’s very own British-Ukrainian band who have been producing their own unique twist of traditional Ukrainian folk songs in a contemporary style which has come to be known as Ukrainian-Folk-Fusion.
Formed in 2016, Cov Kozaks have been entertaining crowds with their hybrid Ukrainian-British rock-punk-ska-funk style all over the UK, featuring in the late-great Terry Hall’s Home Sessions, and Internationally including performances in Ukraine.

Over the last 12 months the band has focused all its energy on supporting Ukrainian causes: hosting and performing at multiple fundraising events and promoting Ukrainian culture and heritage.

Their latest EP “Put Your Faith in the Sword and the Sword and the Sword in the Polka” (released on the eve of Russia’s full scale invasion) has been dedicated to all those fighting for freedom in Ukraine with all proceeds being donated to humanitarian causes.

After making their Godiva debut; opening the Festival in 2022 with their impassioned and high-energy set, these proud Ukrainian-Coventrians are back and ready to fly the Blue and Yellow flag once again on their hometowns biggest stage…an act you won’t want to miss!
