UNITY by Gorilla Circus
Join us for a breathtaking aerial spectacle featuring high-wire walking, dance trapeze and hair hanging as part of Godiva in the City.
Unity is a large-scale outdoor performance that blends circus, immersive theatre and community storytelling into a powerful shared experience. Set across a 60m aerial rig, audiences are invited to stand close to the action and be wowed as talented performers move above and around them.
At its heart, Unity is about place and belonging. It explores shared histories and community identity through movement and spoken word, featuring a love letter to the city by local poet, John Bernard. The work reflects on community, change, and hope for the future, inviting audiences to connect with stories unfolding overhead.
This is a show for all ages that celebrates creativity, diversity and connection within the city.
Performance Information
Performances will take place across the Godiva in the City weekend and are free to attend. Each perfomance lasts approximately 40 minutes.
Saturday 4 July – 12:00pm and 5:00pm
Sunday 5 July – 1:00pm and 5:00pm
