Nicole Blakk
Nicole Blakk is one of the most promising new voices in UK rap, a boundary-pushing artist blending razor-sharp lyricism, soulful vocals and a multilingual flair. Now firmly on the radar of some of the genre’s biggest producers, following a viral cameo on one of DJ AG’s infamous livestreams, collaborations with Red Bull, an appearance on Beta Squad and a growing fanbase on TikTok have followed suit, where her English, French and self-taught Punjabi freestyles and genre-defying sound continue to turn heads.
But Nicole’s journey runs deeper than virality. Raised in the suburbs of North London, she started her musical journey by singing in church at 11 years old, and with the unwavering support of her mum and older sister, who helped fund her earliest studio sessions and encouraged her to sing wherever she could, Nicole began carving out her own lane. Influenced by the smooth emotion of 2000s R&B icons like Akon and Ne-Yo, and the fierce energy of girl bands of the era, her sound merges vulnerability with strength, melody with grit, “I always knew I wanted to make music that made people feel something.”
A singer-songwriter at her core, Nicole’s rap roots emerged unexpectedly after a messy breakup with a rapper, when she channeled heartbreak into her first diss tracks as a reaction to his own - unlocking an unexpected natural gift for storytelling and flow.
Since then, Nicole’s music has become a cathartic space for honesty, identity, and empowerment. Adding another layer to her sound, Nicole also raps French and Punjabi, remaining fearless in her delivery and intentional in her message, no matter the dialogue.
But Nicole Blakk isn't just here to entertain, she’s here to shift the narrative. With a mission to inspire young women through authenticity, she’s building a career on her own terms. With her debut official release due to land in coming months, she is raw, real, and refreshingly genre-fluid. Nicole is proof that the future of UK music is proudly multifaceted.
